The Why
The "Bellum & Artes" exhibition sought to shed light on the profound impact of war on art and society. By highlighting the dual role of art as both a witness and a tool of conflict, the exhibition invited viewers to reflect on the power of artistic expression in shaping perceptions and narratives of war. Our goal was to create a promotional video that transcended traditional museum marketing, enticing the audience with a fresh, cinematic approach that mirrored the exhibition's depth and complexity.
The How
Given the delicate nature of the artifacts, many encased in protective glass, we faced the challenge of capturing their essence without compromising their safety. Strict insurance policies and the historical value of the pieces meant that we had to approach every shot with precision and care.
Meticulous Framing & Lighting: We employed thoughtful framing techniques to minimize reflections and distortions caused by the glass enclosures.
Post-Production Magic: Post-production played a critical role in elevating the visual narrative. With a focus on storytelling, we enhanced the footage to evoke the drama and emotion of the medieval era.
Outside-the-Box Promotion: Departing from conventional museum promotional strategies, we crafted the title sequence to feel more like a cinematic trailer, aimed at seducing the public with its dynamic visuals and evocative tone.
